Living Systems Thinking - New tools for growing, vibrant organisations In today's contemporary corporate environment it is easy to become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of leadership and management models. This can lead us to neglect the basics of collaboration and inclusive communication. In the community people don't worry to much about frameworks and models they simply get on with the job.In the mid 1990's Te Whaiti primary school in a remote, rural community was in danger of closure. As a school it simply was not delivering the education needed by the community. Following a damning report from the Education Department in 1994 the community decided to work together for the benefit of everyone. Peter Goldsbury, a former pupil from Te Whaiti primary school lead a project team from Auckland University of Technology to research and record the transformation. As a result the team developed Tipu Ake Lifecycle - A leadership model for innovative organisations. Today Peter combines the lessons from Te Whaiti primary school with the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) as he helps organisations gain an insight into the most effective culture for achieving success with projects and program outcomes. Peter is an internationally renown engineer, management consultant and project manager with a wealth of knowledge on organisations as Living Systems. |
