PRACTICAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR NON-PROFIT MANAGERS This one day public workshop is designed to help those responsible for managing projects in the human services sector. It is non-technical and does not require any involvement with software, gantt charts or spreadsheets. The focus is on stakeholder communication, risk assessment, project planning, evaluation and project leadership. The content uses a nonprofit case study of project management as its base and introduces a number of frameworks, tools and strategies from the Project Management Book of Knowledge. Those participating will have an opportunity to apply those tools to their existing projects during the workshop. This workshop is suitable for program managers, project managers, those new to project management and managers seeking to gain an understanding of the project management process. The facilitator is an experienced project manager and management coach and has worked with managers in healthcare, aged care and the nonprofit sector for the past ten years. The small print: Close off date for registration is 30 days prior to scheduled date. Late registrations will not be accepted. This is necessary to ensure adequate time to confirm venues, catering, facilitator travel and accommodation. Minimum registrations of 8 people required for a workshop to proceed. All registered participants will be emailed a confirmation on the closing date. In the event of cancellation of this event all prepaid fees will be refunded. Registrations cancelled 30 days or more prior to the scheduled date will be refuned in full. Registrations cancelled within 30 days of an event will be refunded 50%. No refund for no show. Registrations may be transferred to another event or another participant. | |||
