In-House Workshops

The following professional development workshops have been created by John Coxon & Associates for management teams in the health, aged care and not-for-profit sector. John Coxon & Associates has been working with managers in these sectors since 2002, helping develop leadership capacity and management competencies.

 
Positive Performance Reviews: This workshop will provide managers with a generic process for conducting performance reviews, will help them develop implement a positive review process and using effective coaching questions. The result will be a reduced stress and performance reviews conducted on time and in environment free of fear.

Task/Time Management: This workshop will provide your managers with an insight into their responsibilities regarding task management. They will develop strategies for prioritising tasks, planning work and delegation. Includes pre-workshop data collection on how they spend their time.

Managing Change: In this workshop we introduce your managers to the ADKAR change model and to Prochaska &  DiClemente's Stages of Change framework. We help develop a range of strategies for introducing, implementing and monitoring change and tools to help minimise stress and maximise productivity.

Project Management: In this workshop we guide managers through understanding the project management framework and processes. Program content includes project leadership, project management frameworks, project planning, stakeholder communication, risk management, strategies and tools, monitoring and evaluation and managing a diverse team. This is an entry level program designed for program managers and project managers.

Coach Yourself: This one day workshop helps managers develop a process for coaching themselves towards improved effectiveness. Using a coaching framework developed by Dr Anthony Grant at University of Sydney, managers are guided through a process of goal setting, replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts, creating action plans, establishing timeframes and taking responsibility for own outcomes.

Living Systems Thinking - New Tools for Growing Vibrant Organisations. Are you are project based organisation or involved in multiple program delivery? This two-day program, facilitated by leading project manager and living systems expert Peter Goldsbury will help you develop a culture for success. This program is designed to involve the entire management team at all levels.

Each of these workshops is held at a location of your choice. Workshop fee is $2960* per group. Minimum group is 6 people, maximum is 20 people. Workshop fee includes facilitation by experienced management coach and workplace trainer, workshop resource material and follow up review survey. GST exclusive. Fee does not include venue or catering costs. Discounts apply for multiple groups.

This intensive program helps newly minted front line managers and supervisors understand what is expected of them and develop the skills and strategies to minimise workplace conflict.
